Changes in Texas Immunization Requirements:
To the parents of all 6th grade students:
On March 5, 2009, The Executive Commissioner on Health & Human Services approved several revisions to the “Immunization Requirements” for Children and Students entering 7th grade. The new vaccine requirements for these students are: Varicella, Tdap, and Meningococcal. Please see that your child receives these shots before the school year begins and bring a copy of them to the school office so that we may complete your child’s health records.
This is enforced to make sure that each child is protected from these infectious diseases.
Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.
