Current Students who transfer into Elkhart I.S.D. are encouraged to complete their application in April of each school year and the deadline for current transfer submission is May 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.

Attention: New Student Transfers
 
Online Registration will open up on July 23, 2024, to new students attending Elkhart ISD. 
Please wait for the campus to set up appointments or call the campus to complete registration. 
Please bring these items to campus after completing the online registration: 
Proof of Residence - Current Utility Bill
Parent's Driver's License
Student Social Security Card
Student Birth Certificate
Current Immunizations
Prior School Withdrawal Paperwork OR EISD can request paperwork from Prior School
 
ONLY Kindergarten students and up are allowed to transfer. 
 
  • Application Submission Period: New students wishing to transfer into Elkhart I.S.D. can begin submitting their transfer packets on May 2, 2024.

  • Application Deadline: The deadline for submitting transfer applications is June 27, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Parents must ensure that all pages of the application are complete and accurate.

  • Completing the Application: Each page of the application has designated sections that need to be filled out by specific individuals. Some sections are for parents to complete, while others require input from the current school administration.

  • Review Process: Incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the transfer committee. Therefore, applicants need to double-check that all sections of the application are filled out correctly before submission. Parents will be notified during the week of July 8-11, 2024 about the approval or disapproval of the transfer packet. 

  • Transfer Periods: Elkhart I.S.D. accepts new student transfers only in July and December. Students and parents should plan their transfers accordingly, keeping these specific transfer periods in mind.
